If DailyKos is still a site for electing “more and better Democrats,” then we cannot support the candidacy of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). He is not a Democrat and seems to be plotting the downfall of the Democratic Party. He is running in our primaries, like he did in 2016, but he is still not registering as a Democrat. And now, according to Alternet.org, he is laying the groundwork for a 2024 “reelection” campaign as an Independent!
There are numerous ways I like Bernie Sanders—and he has helped our Party find it’s progressive soul after decades of Republican-lie “centrism.” But we want a revitalized, progressive Democratic Party, not a party betrayed by an Independent.
